Brief

Renovate an existing beach front shack to maximise beach views and privacy.

Challenges & Solutions

Views to the beach from the kitchen and dining spaces as well as the master bedroom were critical. However these spaces were also to be private, especially the bedroom. A new roof line was designed to provide protection from the elements but also to distance the master bedroom from view. A clever use of angular form, not only on the facade but also with the semi solid balustrade, directed the eye towards the most unobstructed views.
